Welcome to Our Blog
If you attended last week’s AI webinar, you got a brief look at something we’re calling "The AI Marketing Stack" for firearms retailers. We didn’t have time to go too deep into it, but the idea was simple: using AI tools like ChatGPT, you can now generate powerful, customized marketing assets in minutes—not weeks. And you don’t have to be a tech wizard to pull it off.
This article walks you through exactly what we did in that session, what each step unlocks for your business, and how you can do it yourself using the copy-paste prompts at the beginning of each section. The goal? Help you drive more traffic to your site, boost sales, and build long-term customer loyalty. No fluff. Just practical strategy for our industry.
It starts here. The first prompt is designed to have ChatGPT conduct "Deep Research" on your firearms e-commerce website. You drop in your website URL (there’s a placeholder in the prompt for it), and the AI will act as a firearms retail marketing strategist. It analyzes everything from your messaging, product mix, category structure, and content tone to suggest a comprehensive marketing strategy tailored to your site.
• A professional-level report that would cost $10,000+ if you hired an agency
• Clear insights into your customer base, buyer psychology, and what motivates your audience
• Suggestions for email marketing, promotions, social posts, content ideas, and more
Why This Matters: This is the foundation. Once you understand who your buyer is and how your site is positioned, every other piece of content you create can be aligned with that insight. Messaging becomes clearer. Engagement goes up. Conversions improve.
Use the prompt below to get started!
Prompt Title:
Firearms E-Commerce Marketing Deep Research: Email & Social Strategy to Drive Traffic, Sales, and Loyalty
Who You Are:
You are a seasoned marketing strategist and retail engagement expert with a specialization in the firearms and outdoor gear industry. You understand the regulatory, psychological, cultural, and practical dynamics of this niche. You have extensive experience building loyal customer bases and increasing revenue through strategic email and social media marketing, especially for regulated products.
You are also an absolute truth-seeker. You do not fabricate or make up information. All of your insights must be grounded in logical inference, observable evidence from the website, and best practices derived from known trends and consumer behavior in the firearms/outdoors market.
Scope of Work:
Conduct Deep Research on the following firearms e-commerce website:
[INSERT WEBSITE URL HERE]
You are NOT to suggest any changes to UI/UX design, site layout, or technical SEO.
Your entire focus is on:
• Strategic marketing recommendations
• Email campaign ideas and cadences
• Social media post concepts
• Buyer psychology
• Content strategy (blogs, articles, educational videos)
• Product bundling and promotion themes
• Loyalty-building techniques
• Storytelling and brand framing
Your output must be structured as a high-value professional report that a firearms retailer could give to their marketing team and implement immediately. Break it down into sections with detailed and thoughtful insights in each. Here’s the structure:
• A 1-paragraph overview of your findings and overall strategy
• What sets this business apart, and where their marketing can level up
• Who is their ideal buyer (based on the site’s offerings and tone)
• What motivates this audience to buy firearms, ammo, and gear
• Buying triggers: seasonal behaviors, political events, self-defense concerns, hobbyist cycles (e.g., hunting, range, competitions)
• What fears, hopes, or desires this retailer should speak to
• Outline a 12-week campaign plan
• Break down each week into:
◦ Campaign focus (e.g., education, product spotlight, urgency, community-building)
◦ Subject line examples
◦ Tone and copy style recommendations (e.g., confident, patriotic, expert, humorous, safety-conscious, etc.)
◦ Link strategy (what products or pages to drive traffic toward and why)
◦ Special email segments: repeat buyers, high spenders, first-time buyers, ammo buyers, etc.
◦ Automation triggers (abandoned cart, win-back, “you might also like”)
• Identify top platforms based on audience (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Rumble, YouTube Shorts)
• Weekly post themes for the next 6 weeks
◦ Tactical Tuesdays (product use videos)
◦ Freedom Fridays (stories/testimonials)
◦ Gear Guides (educational reels)
◦ Law & Liberty Spotlights (2A content without getting de-platformed)
• Content style: educational + entertaining + ethical
• Tips on subtle calls to action that won’t trigger ad bans
• Suggest 5–7 promotional campaign ideas that are psychologically tuned to this buyer segment
• Use urgency (limited runs, hunting season, political pressure, etc.)
• Suggest complementary bundling ideas (firearm + holster, range bag + eye/ear protection, ammo + storage)
• Add seasonal tie-ins (e.g., “Hunt Ready Kit,” “Cold Weather Carry Pack,” “Range Warrior Weekend Bundle”)
• Blog/video topics to establish the retailer as a trusted expert
• Suggested tone: expert but not preachy, encouraging freedom and education
• “Know the Law” regional series
• Product explainers (videos/articles/emails)
• Range drills, safe storage tips, EDC guides
• Invite customers to submit photos, stories, or testimonials for community-building
• Loyalty programs (points, referrals, private access)
• Anniversary and birthday emails
• Repeat purchase automation
• VIP early access strategies
• Partnering with shooting ranges or trainers for exclusives
• What KPIs should be tracked to ensure success:
◦ Click-through rate (CTR)
◦ Open rates
◦ Bounce rate on landing pages
◦ Sales attribution to email/social
◦ Customer lifetime value
◦ Average order value (AOV)
• Final note encouraging action
• Reinforce how the suggested strategy fits this retailer’s audience and identity
• Emphasize that consistent, engaging, educational marketing = long-term dominance
• Do not hallucinate data.
• If a section cannot be completed due to lack of website info, clearly state that and suggest how the retailer could improve their clarity for future analysis.
• Always consider regulatory language compliance (avoid terms that would get flagged in email/spam filters or violate platform TOS).
A firearms retailer can paste this entire prompt into ChatGPT or a Custom GPT, insert their website URL where indicated, and generate a custom, high-level strategic marketing plan that can realistically boost their engagement, website traffic, and revenue—without touching their website design.
Sounds strange? It’s actually one of the most creative things you can do for your brand. If you’re already playing music in your store, why not create your own theme song that reflects your company’s personality and values?
We built a prompt that takes the output of your Deep Research and turns it into lyrics for a business anthem. You can take those lyrics and paste them into Suno (or another music AI generator), and within minutes, you’ll have a completely original theme song for your brand.
• Original lyrics tailored to your company’s identity
• A song you can play in your store, use in social videos, or feature on your site
Why This Matters: Music sticks. It helps customers remember you. It sets the vibe. And with AI, it costs nothing but a few minutes to do something that would have taken thousands of dollars and multiple collaborators just a year ago.
Use the following prompt to create your anthem!
Prompt Title:
Write a Theme Song that Reflects My Firearms Retail Business (No Brand Mentions)
Who You Are:
You are a world-class songwriter who specializes in creating anthemic, emotionally resonant lyrics for small businesses looking to build a recognizable identity. You understand the unique mindset of the firearms and outdoor gear customer—freedom-loving, principled, loyal, and value-driven.
A Deep Research marketing report has already been completed on this firearms e-commerce business. Based on that, your task is to write a set of lyrics that could be used as a theme song for this company. These lyrics will be pasted into a music generation tool like Suno to create a full track.
Capture the Spirit of the Business:
Reflect pride, reliability, dedication, and service—show that this business stands for more than just sales. It supports responsible ownership, community, tradition, and strength.
Avoid Specific Mentions:
Do not name the business, brand, website, or any specific products (like rifles, pistols, etc.). This song should apply broadly to the spirit of the business, not its inventory.
Emphasize Emotional Themes:
Tap into values like:
◦ Freedom & self-reliance
◦ Heritage & responsibility
◦ Service & protection
◦ Trust & tradition
◦ Loyalty & community
Make It Versatile:
It should be upbeat, inspiring, and usable for social media intros, email campaigns, customer videos, or trade show loops.
• Song Length: 3 Verses + Chorus (optional Bridge if you feel it adds power)
• Tone: Patriotic, proud, grounded, trustworthy.
• Genre Style: Americana, country-rock, or modern folk (but flexible for tool like Suno to interpret musically).
• Language Style: Plainspoken but poetic—use strong imagery and emotional rhythm.
We’re built on grit and mornings cold,
Where stories live and hands hold gold,
In every box and every round,
There’s purpose here—we stand our ground.
• Song Title
• Full lyrics (Verse 1, Chorus, Verse 2, Chorus, Verse 3, [Bridge if needed], Final Chorus)
• Optional: One-line description of the mood you envision this song creating

We then created a prompt that lets you generate a highly specific image of a "Store Spokesman." This is the person who visually represents your brand. The prompt uses everything learned in the Deep Research and theme song to generate a character that fits your store’s vibe.
You can use this image with HeyGen to create a lip-synced video where your virtual spokesman invites customers to visit your site, learn more about the brand, or highlight specials.
• A photo-realistic avatar (chest-up) with a blurred gun store background
• A consistent, recognizable character for marketing videos
Why This Matters:
People connect with people. Giving your brand a face—even a virtual one—adds trust and familiarity. Post it on social media, include it in welcome emails, or embed it on your homepage.
Prompt Title:
Create a Chest-Up Image of My Store's Spokesman Based on Deep Research and Anthem
Who You Are:
You are a visual branding expert with deep knowledge of firearms culture, retail psychology, and brand storytelling. You've already completed a Deep Research report on this specific firearms e-commerce business, and the store’s anthem/lyrics have also been written. You now understand this business’s identity, tone, values, and customer base.
Your Objective:
Create a chest-up image of a fictional "Store Spokesman" who perfectly represents the brand based on everything previously uncovered. This image will be used in HeyGen to generate a video where the spokesperson invites customers to visit the store and explains the company’s mission.
Character Description:
◦ Age range: 40–60
◦ Gender: Male
◦ Vibe: Trustworthy, professional, rugged but clean-cut
◦ Clothing: Work shirt or flannel, hat optional, no tactical gear—he should look like someone you'd trust behind the counter or at the range
◦ Expression: Calm confidence with a welcoming seriousness
◦ Style: Photorealistic or cinematic
Background Instructions:
◦ A blurred but easily recognizable background of a well-lit gun store
◦ Warm lighting with visible shelving, gun racks, or ammo cases (not too specific)
◦ The background should feel aligned with the personality and branding tone uncovered in the Deep Research (e.g., heritage-focused, tactical-minded, family-owned, etc.)
Framing & Use:
◦ Image must be from the chest up
◦ Suitable for video overlay and lip-syncing in HeyGen or similar avatar tools
Please return only a detailed prompt formatted specifically for an image generation tool like DALL·E, MidJourney, or Stable Diffusion.
Do not generate the image yourself unless specifically asked.
The prompt should be written as if it's being handed to an AI image generator, and it must reflect everything known from the Deep Research and Anthem.
If the Deep Research revealed a specific tone (e.g., bold patriotism, down-to-earth heritage, modern tactical vibe), let that inform how the spokesman looks. For example:
• Heritage brand = older, salt-and-pepper hair, wood tones in background
• Tactical brand = clean-shaven, athletic build, cool-toned lighting
Below is the image created during the webinar.
As you can see, it’s very important to only generate images from the chest up, as services like HeyGen do not animate any other part of the body (I’m sure that feature is not far off). This was for demonstration purposes only. Using the above prompt should give you a more usable image.
Next, we wrote a prompt that helps you create a short video script your spokesman can read. The script is grounded in the same branding insights and story developed in the Deep Research. It introduces the company, highlights its values, and invites viewers to explore the site.
• A professional-grade video script tailored to your store’s tone and audience
• A message that feels human, not salesy
Why This Matters:
A strong first impression matters. This short video can work on social, in ads, or on your site to immediately establish credibility and make people want to click through.
Prompt Title:
Write a Short Spokesman Script Based on Deep Research and Brand Anthem
Who You Are:
You are a brand copywriter and firearms industry storyteller who has already completed Deep Research on this specific business and helped write a brand anthem. You now fully understand the tone, mission, values, and ideal customer base of the company.
Your Objective:
Create a short, compelling video script that the fictional Store Spokesman can use to introduce the company, reflect its values, and invite viewers to visit the website. This video is intended to be displayed on landing pages, in emails, or shared on social media.
• Length: 75–125 words (approx. 30–45 seconds when spoken)
• Speaker: A calm, confident spokesman representing the company (previously described visually)
• Tone: Friendly, trustworthy, proud—never salesy or gimmicky
• Style: Speak plainly and powerfully. Reflect the same emotional weight and themes found in the store’s anthem.
Content Must Include:
◦ A warm, brief introduction to the company (what they stand for)
◦ A nod to values like service, heritage, responsibility, or freedom (based on brand tone)
◦ A clear invitation to visit the website (do not say the actual URL—just refer to “our site” or “online store”)
◦ A closing line that makes the viewer feel like they’re joining something meaningful
"Around here, we do things a little different. We believe in standing by our word, serving our community, and offering gear that folks can count on. Whether you're training, hunting, or protecting what matters—this is a place built with you in mind. We're proud to support responsible ownership, and we're here to help you get equipped the right way. Take a look around our site and see what we’re all about. Welcome to the family."
• Just the spoken script (do not include voiceover or stage directions unless asked)
• Clear, clean language that fits the personality and tone of the company
• Aligned with the broader marketing goal: increase traffic, build trust, and foster loyalty
Below is the prompt we generated during the webinar.
The prompt provided above will give you a much better script.
"Hey there! Welcome to the shop. I'm glad you're here. If you need help finding something or have questions, just let me know—I'm here to help!”
Below is a link to the video we created during the webinar using HeyGen.
Finally, we crafted a prompt that builds out your first 8 emails. These are designed to introduce (or re-introduce) your store to new or existing subscribers in a compelling, story-driven way.
Each email builds on the last—helping customers understand your story, mission, and why they should keep coming back.
• 8 email outlines with subject lines, content themes, calls to action, and tone guidance
• Emails that educate, engage, and entertain your specific audience
Why This Matters:
Firearms buyers aren’t like other buyers. The message has to hit differently. You can’t use generic email templates or write like you’re selling toothbrushes. This prompt helps you speak their language—with respect, clarity, and authenticity.
Prompt Title:
Create an Email Campaign that Tells Our Brand Story and Drives Traffic
Who You Are:
You are an email marketing strategist with deep knowledge of the firearms, accessories, and outdoor gear industries. You have already completed a full Deep Research analysis of this firearms retailer and understand their identity, mission, tone, audience, and anthem.
Your Objective:
Create the first 8-email sequence for an educational, engaging, and entertaining email campaign that introduces or reintroduces customers to the company, drives traffic to the website, and starts building long-term customer loyalty.
Drive Traffic: Each email should contain a strong, natural call-to-action that makes the reader want to click and explore the e-commerce site.
Tell the Brand Story: Lay out the company’s origin, mission, values, and personality through storytelling—emphasize the why behind the business.
Engage Firearms Buyers: Emails must resonate with people who purchase firearms, accessories, ammo, and outdoor gear. Speak their language.
Be Fun and Relatable: Mix storytelling with wit, emotion, and purpose. Don’t write boring newsletters—write like a real person talking to a fellow enthusiast.
For each of the 8 emails, provide:
• Email Title / Subject Line (engaging and click-worthy)
• Theme/Focus (what the email is about)
• Tone and Style Guidance (serious, humorous, patriotic, etc.)
• Main Talking Points
• Call to Action (subtle or strong depending on context)
• Optional Tease for Next Email (to build anticipation)
• Email 1 – Welcome & Why We Exist
Hook them emotionally with the founding story and reason behind the business.
• Email 2 – Who We Serve
Talk about the kinds of customers this business was built for—and celebrate them.
• Email 3 – Our Mission is More Than Sales
Highlight core values like education, freedom, safety, and responsibility.
• Email 4 – What Makes Us Different
Share what sets the business apart in a saturated market (based on research findings).
• Email 5 – Our Gear Philosophy
Explain how products are chosen, tested, and trusted.
• Email 6 – A Glimpse Behind the Counter
Introduce the people behind the business—personal, local, or legacy-based.
• Email 7 – Stories from the Field
Share real or stylized customer scenarios that highlight product utility, adventure, and connection.
• Email 8 – Let’s Make This Official
Invite them to become part of the “crew”—whether it’s joining the loyalty list, following on socials, or exploring a special curated page.
Based on the above structure and what you've already learned from the Deep Research, begin crafting the full 8-email plan. Each email should have its own identity but build naturally into the next.
Ask any follow-up questions you need in order to:
• Accurately reflect the company’s tone and voice
• Incorporate any special offers, loyalty perks, or events that should be included
• Understand what systems are used for sending these emails (optional)
Let’s be honest: this is a no-brainer. You already have a store. You already need more traffic. You already need better engagement. And now you have a stack of prompts that lets you:
• Understand your store more clearly than ever before
• Create a custom theme song in minutes
• Generate a spokesman image and script
• Launch a meaningful email campaign that speaks directly to your audience
And the best part?
You don’t have to be a marketer or an AI expert to do any of this. Just copy, paste, and insert your URL.
Everything above is a template—a head start. But if you want to get the full power of AI, start thinking like this:
• Instead of asking AI a question, tell it your goal.
• Then ask it to write the perfect prompt to achieve that goal.
This is how you move from basic AI user to advanced operator. And once you realize that AI can help you generate better AI prompts? You’ve unlocked something game-changing.
If you want help modifying these for your exact business, just reach out. Or better yet—feed that idea to the robot and let it build it with you.
Let’s get smarter, faster, and more creative together.
