— The Coreware Team
Running a firearms retail business is already a high-stakes operation. Between compliance, customer service, and inventory management, your day is packed. But there’s one area that often goes ignored until it’s too late: employee transitions.
Whether an employee quits, walks out, or is terminated, every exit leaves behind a digital and physical footprint. If that trail isn’t cleaned up properly, the risks are very real — from financial losses to damaged reputations and compromised security.
Here’s the hard truth: all it takes is one oversight, one shared login, one overlooked email account, and your business could be reeling from preventable damage.
This article is your playbook. It's written with firearms retailers in mind, but the principles apply to any retailer who wants to build a tighter, more secure operation.
In this guide, we’ll walk through the process of assigning employee permissions to a user. This can be done during employee creation or later if you need to modify existing permissions. The permissions you set will depend on your business practices and what you want your users to be able to do in coreSTORE.
1. Click on Employees
Navigate to the Company menu and select the Employees sub-menu.
As administrator, one can set up new administrators or employee users with restricted access.
To create a new user, go to Contacts > Users > Users. From the User Maintenance list, click ADD.
Fill in the username, first name, last name and email address of the user in the Details tab.
To make the user an administrator with full access, check the "Administrator" and the "Full Client Access" checkboxes. To make the user with restricted access to the backend, check just the "Administrator" checkbox.
In this session, we explored the latest updates, key improvements, and expert insights to help you make the most of coreFORCE. Whether you want to stay ahead or just catch up on what you missed, you can watch it anytime.
